A response to Hindus sue Evangelists

In response to a news article that appeared in The Witness newspaper on Thursday September 3, 2020 which can be read at this link we plead with all Hindus to consider the following:

Dear Hindus

God commands in the first and the second of the Ten Commandments the following:

3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

God states, “I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.” (Isaiah 42:8 KJV) In many places God speaks through His prophet Isaiah and says God is God and He knows no other.

God also states that idols and idol worshippers are lifeless and dead when He says,

1 Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake.
2 Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God?
3 But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.
4 Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.
5 They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not:
6 They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not:
7 They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat.
8 They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them.

So the problem we are dealing with is what is True. Truth is objective and not subjective. There can only be one Truth. Seeing God is True and the Author of Truth then religiously there cannot be one truth for you and one truth for me and say we worship “the same God.” Truth is 100% and therefore you cannot have many “truths”. If 1% untruth is mixed with 99% truth, the 99% truth is tainted and the whole is not Truth but rendered untrue. JESUS said He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6) which is exclusive, therefore excluding any other way, any other truth, and any other life!

We read why sinners need JESUS when we read, for it is written:

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

God has commanded His believers to preach the Good News of Salvation through His only begotten Son JESUS CHRIST when we read amongst many other Scriptures, “15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.” (Mark 16:15-16 KJV). That is True love in action to share how to escape God’s wrath come Judgment Day. For, “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” (John 3:36 KJV)

To litigate against Christians for sharing their faith is also restricting their constitutional rights to freedom of religion, but most importantly to do what God has commanded! We read of one of many times where followers of JESUS where threatened and persecuted,

18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.
19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.
20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

If what is being preached by Christians is ‘untrue’, what have Hindus to lose? Surely their approximately 300 million gods can defend their cause! But what do Hindus have to lose if what the Christians are saying is True? Much! Through the ages Christians have been burnt at the stake, crucified, beheaded, stoned and many other crimes have been committed against them by other religions. No person in their right mind would willingly put their life at risk to share their faith if they believed it wasn’t true!
