Go into all the World and Preach the Gospel . . .

7  And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
8  But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
~ Acts 1:7,8

Our Lord Jesus Christ’s last command before ascending to the right hand of GOD our Father should be our most urgent business here upon the earth. We, the Body of Christ, the ekklesia (assembly, church) that our Saviour is building “and the gates of hell will not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18), were given the “ministry of reconciliation” (2 Corinthians 5:18) so that we can be “ambassadors for Christ” (2 Corinthians 5:20) representing and preaching the Kingdom of GOD here upon the earth. As our Lord taught us to pray, “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10) so we are to do our heavenly Father’s will here on earth as in heaven. Are you urgent about doing your heavenly Father’s will as you ought to be? Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ said,

50  For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother. ~ Matthew 12:50

Are you being obedient to GOD and walking as Christ Jesus walked, abiding in Him to bring forth much fruit? for,

6  He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. ~ 1 John 2:6

8  Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. ~ John 15:8

Therefore saints, by way of encouragement and for GOD’s glory alone, seize the many opportunities that are presented to you as you “Go . . .”

At all times in obedience to our Great GOD, you need to step out of your comfort zones to reach the lost. The Preaching at Mahatma Gandhi Peace Walk 2015 in Pietermaritzburg on Sunday October 4, 2015 was such an opportunity to raise the Name of Jesus Christ to a predominantly Hindu gathering and other faiths / beliefs, for,

12  Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. ~ Acts 4:12

Then there are those times when brethren meet to encourage one another as was the case with the meeting that took place with Brother Lungisa Joctrey on a sweltering hot day on Wednesday October 7, 2015 in the Pietermaritzburg CBD. Whilst he proclaimed the Gospel of GOD in isiZulu, a whole host of Gospel tracts were distributed in both isiZulu and English by Jono and Gary. We are always reminded by our Lord Jesus Who gave commandment,

15  And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. ~ Mark 16:15

Or as was evident on this Lord’s day Sunday October 11, 2015. After meeting in my home and starting the General Epistle of James where we are instructed to “. . . be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves” (James 1:22) we went to Midmar Dam for lunch and continued our fellowship after picking up Cee-Jay’s mom Chantel. Our faith is to be a living and active faith. Our faith must be evident by our works,

18  Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. ~ James 2:18

We are not saved by works – not by ‘works righteousness’ as the Roman Catholics, Muslims and other cults falsely teach – but our faith – true godly Christian faith – will show that it is genuine faith by the evidence of the works that follow the salvation of a truly born-again believer, as we read,

8  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9  Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. ~ Ephesians 2:8-10

By way of application, whilst what seemed like just another day out with the family at the dam, . . .

. . . if one is obedient to GOD’s Word and practice what you preach and teach, you can redeem the time and be fruitful by using every opportunity that presents itself. On the way home, a brief stop at the Howick Falls opened up the opportunity of preaching the Gospel of the Creator of Internet Archivethe Howick Falls, and many ‘fall-observers’ heard how to escape man’s sinful fall! A brief sermon can be heard by clicking the logo to the right. (Duration 13:18) > > >

The Scripture reading was from Psalm 24,

1  A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. ~ Psalm 24:1

Brethren, walk after the Spirit of GOD and trust GOD to order your steps to do HIS will this side of eternity. Be obedient and faithful and do your work whilst you still have time.

20  Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
21  Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. ~ Hebrews 13:20,21

Soli Deo Gloria!
