The Ramadan Farce ~ Part 2

2  They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.
3  And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.
~ John 16:2,3

Read Part 1 first. It is often advocated by Muslims that Islam is a religion of peace. However, the Quran instructs Muslims in jihad and killing for their god Allah, by the commands of no other than Muhammad. Sickening screams of “Allah Akbar” accompany murderous and violent rampaging by radical Muslims the world over. Interestingly, TheReligionofPeace.com website records the following which shows the Muslims command of jihad – especially violence against Jews and Christians – where it reads, quote:

Tellingly, some of the most violent verses in the Quran were handed down following Muhammad’s ascension to power, when there was no real threat to the Muslim people. The 9th Sura of attacks-290 the Quran exhorts Muslims to Jihad and dominance over other religions:

"Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Messenger have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth, out of those who have been given the Book, until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection." (9:29)

The Breitbart website records the following, quote:

Updated Ramadan Rage 2017 Final Death Count: 1,639 in About 30 Countries

Herat-Afghanistan-bombing-June-2017-reuters-640x480

The final fatality tally for jihadi attacks during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan increased to 1,639, primarily fueled by victims who succumbed to their injuries, reveals an updated Breitbart News count of terror incidents during the period.

With a total of 3,343 casualties, including 1,704 injuries, Ramadan 2017 is one of the bloodiest holy months in recent history. The number of deaths this year marked a nearly four-fold increase from the estimated 421 people killed by Islamic extremists last year.

There were nearly 160 terror incidents in about 30 predominantly Muslim countries this year, including one jihadi attack in the United States.

Soon after the holiest month for Muslims ended last Saturday, Breitbart News reported that jihadist organizations had killed 1,627 people during Ramadan.

However, after taking into account people who succumbed to their injuries throughout the month and government entities changing the casualty count after Breitbart News initially documented the attacks, this news outlet has determined the final updated tally to be 3,343 casualties (1,639 killed, 1,704 injured).

The Afghan government updating the casualty tally for the May 31 terror attack that killed at least 150 people and injured more than 300 others had the most significant impact on changing the final count.

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani changed the number of people wounded from at least 460 to more than 300, driving the total number of deaths up and injuries down. The May 31 incident, allegedly carried out by the Taliban and al-Qaeda-linked Haqqani Network, is the deadliest attack of Ramadan 2017.

The Pentagon has deemed the Haqqani Network to pose the “greatest threat” to the United States military and its allies in Afghanistan. U.S. officials have accused jihadi sanctuary Pakistan of sheltering the group.

Breitbart News’ primarily gleaned its count from the Religion of Peace website in coordination with news reports.

After analyzing every documented Ramadan terror incident, Breitbart News removed two events mentioned by Religion on Peace — May 31 assault in Sinjar and June 6 attack in Mosul, Iraq — because there were no credible news reports to back them.

Moreover, two attacks that occurred on the last day of Ramadan were added to the tally after Breitbart News published the article noting that Islamic terrorists had killed 1,627 people.

Breitbart News’ count excludes casualties directly linked to battles between U.S.-led coalition and Iranian- and Russian-backed troops loyal to dictator Bashar al-Assad.

Furthermore, it only includes some of the attacks in Iraq and Syria that involved the death of civilians, mainly women, and children, at the hands of jihadi groups.

News outlets and government officials may update some death tallies from individual attacks that occurred over the last few days of Ramadan as some of the injured victims succumb to their injuries after Breitbart News publishes this report.

The final Ramadan death toll could be higher. Most “Ramadan Rage 2017” victims are Muslims. As in previous years, the fatalities have included women, children, and members of the Christian minority.

In addition to Muslims, there are members of a wide variety of ethnic and religious groups among the victims: Westerners of all ethnicities, Christians, Asians, Sunnis, Shiites, and Arabs, among others.

The West, particularly London, has not been immune to the Ramadan carnage this year.

Most Muslims follow the Ramadan tradition of abstaining from eating, drinking, smoking, having sex, and other physical needs each day, starting from before the break of dawn until sunset.

However, Islamic extremists perceive Ramadan as a time when martyrdom and jihad are doubly rewarded in paradise, prompting a spike in the terrorist attacks during the period every year.

The Ramadan Farce ~ Part 1

Aljazeera.com records the meaning of Ramadan as follows, quote:

What is Ramadan?

Ramadan is the ninth month in the Muslim lunar calendar. Healthy adult Muslims fast in Ramadan from dawn until dusk. This includes abstaining from drinking, eating, immoral acts and anger. Other acts of worship such as prayer, reading the Quran and charity are also encouraged during Ramadan.

Muslims also believe that the Quran was revealed in Ramadan.

During the holy month, Muslims would wake up early to eat a pre-dawn meal called suhoor, and they break their fast with a meal referred to as iftar.

It is common for mosques to host large iftars, especially for the poor and needy. Nightly prayers called Tarawih are also held in mosques after iftar.

Different cultures have different traditions during Ramadan, whether it is a special food they must cook, or eating iftar with the extended family. Islamic tenets, such as generosity, inspired most of these traditions, such as sharing food and inviting guests over for iftar. (Source)

ramadhaan-highway-code-dos-and-donts-1 During the month of Ramadan Muslims are to abstain mainly from food, however in reality from what is mentioned above they consume large quantities of food in their various meals over this period. This food intake exceeds the general food consumption of most other Muslim months. So where is the actual “fast”? The fact is that participating Muslims – for not all participate due to some reason or another, including those with medical conditions – are only missing one meal during the day light hours, that being the midday meal lunch. Generally a person can go throughout the day missing one meal, and it is not uncommon for many people to skip this meal.

Whilst there are certain instances where Muslims are exempt from fasting, others who do not perform the fast have experienced imprisonment or even worse, death. So how can this ‘holy’ month be so divided in its practice of the fast? or whether not to fast? It begs the main question – Is the Ramadan fast a farce? The practices or non-practices of the Ramadan fast shows the hypocrisy of what is acceptable practice and which is not. There doesn’t seem to be a clear way of practicing the Ramadan fast. RamadanOr does the Quran allow a wide range of “escape clauses”? There are many questions that arise: So, what is the norm? or do Muslims tend to make up the rules or practices as they go along? Is working during the fast period acceptable? Are Muslims allowed to participate in sport? Or should Muslims abstain from sport participation? Are Muslims to be benevolent to non-Muslims during the fast period? Or by their fasting are Muslims compromising non-Muslims’ daily activities? And is the month of Ramadan just another way of enforcing Sharia law upon the ‘infidel’ so that the ‘infidel’ must fit in with the Muslims’ dictates whether they like it or not?

To show the nonsense that can prevail, we can look at some conflicts that took place in the sporting world. Incidentally, writer experienced the effects of the Muslim fast first hand during the current junior football (soccer) league under the administration of Savages FCthe Maritzburg District Football Association (MDFA) where some clubs could not fulfil their fixtures due to Muslim coaches and junior players fasting. The two clubs that caused the postponements of league fixtures are StaxC Football Club and Savages Football Club. In respect of the latter club writer can speak from experience, having played for them as an over 35 year old player. The Savages Football Club has a rich tradition and is the oldest football club in South Africa, currently celebrating its 135th year (1882-2017). During its long history this club in bygone years never had to cancel league fixtures because of religious piety. This practice has however only crept in to the local game in recent years. Many of those same Muslims who could not attend a local football match however attended their daily occupation or went about their daily business as normal, but could not set aside an hour to accommodate a football match. The hypocrisy that arose is that whilst some Savages’ teams ‘fasted’, other Savages’ teams played. It wasn’t that the football club stood in solidarity and cancelled all their matches, but only those matches involving Muslim coaches and Muslim players. The exact ages of these players that writer is referring to fall in the under 10 age group. It appears from a Muslim website that ‘“Children who have not reached puberty” are exempt from fasting-for-kidsfasting’ (Source). It further appears that we were lied to by the Muslim coaches as they said that the “under 10 boys were fasting”! Whilst some parents encourage their young pre-pubescent children to try fasting, they none the less are still exempt from fasting. The knock-on effect in this instant is that non-Muslims were compromised by having to have their matches postponed and a backlog of fixtures will now have to be played at a later date that will cause fixture congestion. This was further exacerbated by the three week school holidays that followed Ramadan, so in effect no matches would be played for close on two months! To say the least the MDFA Leagues were put in disarray.

Incidentally, at the very same time this charade was playing out, across the world in the northern hemisphere the South African national cricket team were participating at the ICC Champions Trophy in the United Kingdom during the month of June 2017. The Proteas had some Muslims playing for them, such as Hashim Amla (read a 2012 interview here) and Imran Tahir who are the two most recognisable practising Muslims in that team. There was Hashim-Amlaalso Moeen Ali who represented England and was interviewed by circleofcricket.co about his fasting during Ramadan 2017 and of course also the Pakistani Muslims who were the eventual winners of the ICC Trophy. Certain questions need to be asked – Did these cricketers abstain fully during the entire days of competition from taking sustenance to keep their energy levels up? And why were these players not punished for violating the Ramadan fast? And why can some Muslims extend their fast outside the Ramadan month to fit their choice? Or why didn’t they choose not to play? Or should the organisers not have postponed the fixtures out of respect for Muslims fasting? Or is it just that some Muslims are more pious than others? Or would that be judging, eh?

You see the quandary of all these questions and so much more? Now that we have seen the conflicts in the physical, we will now see what GOD, The Almighty, truly says according to HIS Word, which is Spiritual.

The Son of GOD, the Lord Jesus Christ Who is Lord of all (Acts 10:36) stated that if a person fasts they should do it privately. We read, for it is written,

16  Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
17  But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;
18  That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
~ Matthew 6:16-18

The Muslims are therefore hypocrites according to Jesus Christ for they make “a song and a dance” of shouting it from the roof tops and broadcasting it all over the worldly media that “they” are fasting! The GOD of Creation rewards openly those who do their fasting secretly!

What comes to the fore about the Ramadan “fast” is that good works also plays a huge part in Islam’s teachings. However, one’s good works cannot bribe GOD to think that one is in right standing with HIM, that is, being righteous in HIS sight, for one’s righteousness is obtained through “repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ” (Acts 20:21) as one’s Saviour and Redeemer, as we read in II Corinthians 5:21, “For he [GOD] hath made him [Jesus] to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him [Jesus].” By the Muslim rejecting GOD’s anointed Son Jesus the Christ as their Saviour therefore disqualifies the Muslim from the righteousness of GOD and they therefore do not have eternal life through being born-again by the Spirit of GOD, and as a direct result thereof they cannot enter the Kingdom of GOD. Therefore, their “fasting” to their god Allah is altogether a waste of time! Salvation is found in no other name, but Jesus! For it is written, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).  In a parable Jesus shared, you will see that Muslims with all their ‘self-righteous goodness and piety’ are just like the boasting Pharisee, as we read, for it is written,

9  And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:
10  Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11  The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12  I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13  And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14  I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
~ Luke 18:9-14

Matthew Henry’s Concise Commentary explains Luke 18:9-14 as follows,

This parable was to convince some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others. God sees with what disposition and design we come to him in holy ordinances. What the Pharisee said, shows that he trusted to himself that he was righteous. We may suppose he was free from gross and scandalous sins. All this was very well and commendable. Miserable is the condition of those who come short of the righteousness of this Pharisee, yet he was not accepted; and why not? He went up to the temple to pray, but was full of himself and his own goodness; the favour and grace of God he did not think worth asking. Let us beware of presenting proud devotions to the Lord, and of despising others. The publican’s address to God was full of humility, and of repentance for sin, and desire toward God. His prayer was short, but to the purpose; God be merciful to me a sinner. Blessed be God, that we have this short prayer upon record, as an answered prayer; and that we are sure that he who prayed it, went to his house justified; for so shall we be, if we pray it, as he did, through Jesus Christ. He owned himself a sinner by nature, by practice, guilty before God. He had no dependence but upon the mercy of God; upon that alone he relied. And God’s glory is to resist the proud, and give grace to the humble. Justification is of God in Christ; therefore the self-condemned, and not the self-righteous, are justified before God.

It helps not the Muslim to have his self-righteous piety in prayers and fasting during his Ramadan when he denies the Son of glory, the “. . . only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;” (I Timothy 6:15). There is One GOD and there is NOT many ways to The One and Only True and Living GOD. GOD makes known that there is no other “God” formed beside HIM. We read in Isaiah (circa 760 B.C. – Before Christ!) which predates the Quran (circa 609 A.D.) by some 1,370 years, the Word of GOD states in the Old Testament, wherein the New Testament is concealed,

22  For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us. ~ Isaiah 33:22

8  The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever. ~ Isaiah 40:8

4  Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and with the last; I am he. ~ Isaiah 41:4

8  I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. ~ Isaiah 42:8

17  They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye are our gods. ~ Isaiah 42:17

10  Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
11  I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour. ~ Isaiah 43:10,11

15  I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King. ~ Isaiah 43:15 [cf. John 4:21-24 ~ 21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.]

25  I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.
26  Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou,
that thou mayest be justified.
27  Thy first father hath sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me.
28  Therefore I have profaned the princes of the sanctuary, and have given Jacob to the curse, and Israel to reproaches. ~ Isaiah 43:25-28 [Note: Just as GOD did not spare Israel with judgments, so HE will not spare Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Roman Catholicism, Mormonism, Jehovah Witnesses, Shembe, ZCC, TACC, etc., etc. GOD is not a respecter of people groups that violate HIS Way and Commands.]

6  Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God. ~ Isaiah 44:6

8  Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any. ~ Isaiah 44:8

15  Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour. ~ Isaiah 45:15

20  Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save.
21  Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.
22  Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
23  I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. ~ Isaiah 45:20-23

5  To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like? ~ Isaiah 46:5

9  Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
10  Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: ~ Isaiah 46:9,10

And in the following prophecy in Isaiah 53 The Only True and Living GOD makes known of HIS Messiah (Christ) to come, as we read,

1  Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
2  For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
3  He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4  Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6  All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7  He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
8  He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
9  And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
10  Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
11  He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
12  Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. ~ Isaiah 53:1-12

Matthew Henry’s Concise Commentary explains Isaiah 53:1-12 as follows,

Isaiah 53:1-3
No where in all the Old Testament is it so plainly and fully prophesied, that Christ ought to suffer, and then to enter into his glory, as in this chapter. But to this day few discern, or will acknowledge, that Divine power which goes with the word. The authentic and most important report of salvation for sinners, through the Son of God, is disregarded. The low condition he submitted to, and his appearance in the world, were not agreeable to the ideas the Jews had formed of the Messiah. It was expected that he should come in pomp; instead of that, he grew up as a plant, silently, and insensibly. He had nothing of the glory which one might have thought to meet with him. His whole life was not only humble as to outward condition, but also sorrowful. Being made sin for us, he underwent the sentence sin had exposed us to. Carnal hearts see nothing in the Lord Jesus to desire an interest in him. Alas! by how many is he still despised in his people, and rejected as to his doctrine and authority!

Isaiah 53:4-9
In these verses is an account of the sufferings of Christ; also of the design of his sufferings. It was for our sins, and in our stead, that our Lord Jesus suffered. We have all sinned, and have come short of the glory of God. Sinners have their beloved sin, their own evil way, of which they are fond. Our sins deserve all griefs and sorrows, even the most severe. We are saved from the ruin, to which by sin we become liable, by laying our sins on Christ. This atonement was to be made for our sins. And this is the only way of salvation. Our sins were the thorns in Christ’s head, the nails in his hands and feet, the spear in his side. He was delivered to death for our offences. By his sufferings he purchased for us the Spirit and grace of God, to mortify our corruptions, which are the distempers of our souls. We may well endure our lighter sufferings, if He has taught us to esteem all things but loss for him, and to love him who has first loved us.

Isaiah 53:10-12
Come, and see how Christ loved us! We could not put him in our stead, but he put himself. Thus he took away the sin of the world, by taking it on himself. He made himself subject to death, which to us is the wages of sin. Observe the graces and glories of his state of exaltation. Christ will not commit the care of his family to any other. God’s purposes shall take effect. And whatever is undertaken according to God’s pleasure shall prosper. He shall see it accomplished in the conversion and salvation of sinners. There are many whom Christ justifies, even as many as he gave his life a ransom for. By faith we are justified; thus God is most glorified, free grace most advanced, self most abased, and our happiness secured. We must know him, and believe in him, as one that bore our sins, and saved us from sinking under the load, by taking it upon himself. Sin and Satan, death and hell, the world and the flesh, are the strong foes he has vanquished. What God designed for the Redeemer he shall certainly possess. When he led captivity captive, he received gifts for men, that he might give gifts to men. While we survey the sufferings of the Son of God, let us remember our long catalogue of transgressions, and consider him as suffering under the load of our guilt. Here is laid a firm foundation for the trembling sinner to rest his soul upon. We are the purchase of his blood, and the monuments of his grace; for this he continually pleads and prevails, destroying the works of the devil.

As the Old Testament contained the New Testament concealed, so the Old Testament is in the New Testament revealed. The prophecies of the Old Testament are supernaturally fulfilled in the New Testament by the Divine Purpose of Almighty GOD. This therefore disqualifies Mohammed as the ‘final prophet’, for it is written,

3  For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4  Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
5  For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
6  Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. ~ I Timothy 2:3-6

Whilst GOD in the Old Testament revealed that HE is One GOD and HE will not give HIS glory to another and HE will be the Saviour, in the New Testament GOD reveals that Jesus Christ is the Saviour. As it is impossible for GOD to lie HE therefore confirms that God the Son Jesus Christ is GOD manifest in human form! The Word became flesh (John 1:1,14) and dwelt here on earth. We read how a Spirit GOD revealed Himself to humanity in flesh to be the Saviour of the world HE promised to be! For it is written,

16  And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. ~ I Timothy 3:16

The God-Man Jesus Christ, the Second Person of the Godhead, made three profound statements that disqualifies all other religions in finding peace with GOD the Creator, when He said the following,

3  . . . Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. ~ John 3:3

6  . . . I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
7  If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
~ John 14:6,7

3  And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. ~ John 17:3

Those are the Words of Jesus Christ, Who is the Living Word of GOD, and just as GOD revealed in Isaiah 45:23 “. . . That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear” so GOD confirms in the New Testament “. . . That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father”, as we more fully read, for it is written,

5  Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6  Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7  But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8  And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9  Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10  That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11  And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. ~ Philippians 2:5-11

Muslims might be pious and well meaning in their religious observances of Islam, but they remain enemies of the True GOD, for it is written,

22  Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. ~ I John 2:22

and

9  Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
10  If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
11  For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. ~ II John 1:9-11

Dear Muslim, repent of the false teachings of Islam and receive everlasting life by the grace of GOD through faith by believing upon Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD. For it is written, Jesus Christ testifying of Himself,

14  And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15  That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18  He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19  And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20  For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21  But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
~ John 3:14-21

The Gospel for Roman Catholics

The Bible, the infallible Word of God, declares in 1 Timothy 2:5, “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”

Notice that He is called “the man Christ Jesus”. Yes, Jesus Christ was a Man! But He was also God: God manifest in the flesh. In the first chapter of John, we are told that Jesus Christ, “the Word”, is God Himself (v.1). He is the Second Person of the Godhead: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

All men are sinful by nature, and no man can ever be saved from his sins by his own works; his own efforts. The salvation of sinners is the work of God alone. And for this purpose God the Son, Jesus Christ, left heaven, taking upon Himself human nature (without laying aside His divine nature), being born miraculously of a young virgin (Matthew 1:18-25).

He grew up as all men do, with one difference: He lived a sinless life. This was essential because, in order to suffer the penalty for sin in the place of sinners, He had to be without sin Himself – a perfect Man. The totally innocent had to die for the totally guilty, for the punishment for sin is death (Romans 6:23).

When He died on the cross, He paid the penalty for sin, and shed His blood to wash away sins (Hebrews 9:22-28). And then He rose from the dead, destroying the power of death (Matthew 28:5-7; 1 Corinthians 15:55-57).

Jesus Christ is thus the way to eternal life. He is the only way, there is no other, for the Bible says that there is only one Mediator between God and men, and that is Jesus Christ. The only way to the Father is through Him (John 14:6).

Now before we see exactly how a sinner comes to God through Jesus Christ, let us consider the Roman Catholic teaching on salvation. There is only one way to be saved, whether you are a Roman Catholic or not. There is only one Mediator.

No man, according to Roman Catholic teaching, can have assurance of salvation in this life. The Roman Catholic Council of Trent declared that anyone who says they have assurance of salvation is anathema, that is, accursed!1 This means that one can never know whether one is saved or not. You must simply do the best you can, and hope that you have been good enough, by the time you die, to finally reach heaven (after spending an unknown period of time in purgatory).

There are certain things which every loyal Roman Catholic is taught to do, in order (supposedly) to earn his salvation; and each one is said to be essential to salvation. In Roman Catholicism there are seven “sacraments”, and any loyal Roman Catholic will know what these are: Baptism (by which a baby is said to be cleansed of original sin, and when it is supposedly “born again”); Penance (some deed to perform, given to a Roman Catholic by a priest, to atone for some sin; however, when he dies he will go to purgatory to be fully purified before entering heaven); the Holy Eucharist (“transubstantiation” is the doctrine that the bread and wine are literally changed into the body and blood of Christ, so that the Roman Catholic partakes of His actual flesh in the mass; also, Christ is, in effect, re-offered as a sacrifice to God; the mass is said to be the same sacrifice as that which He made on the cross); Confirmation (when the Roman Catholic is said to “receive the Holy Spirit”); and Extreme Unction (called “the sacrament of the anointing of the sick”, received at the point of death).

There are two other sacraments: the sacrament of Holy Matrimony is received when two Roman Catholics marry; and the sacrament of Holy Orders is for men who become priests. Thus the Roman Catholic, if he marries, must receive six of the seven sacraments in order to hope to be saved; five if he does not marry; and six if he enters the priesthood.

The sacraments are considered essential to salvation.2

But even the sacraments are not all there is to it. The Roman Catholic must be subject to all the doctrines of the Roman Catholic religion, regardless of whether or not they are supported by the Scriptures. He must, for example, believe the teaching that Mary is co-mediator with Jesus Christ; that she was conceived without original sin; that one should pray to her; that tradition is equal in authority with the Bible; etc. All the above can be verified by consulting official Roman Catholic works on these subjects. The list goes on and on.

And yet, even if he does all his church requires of him, he still cannot be sure he is saved. The best he can hope for, when he dies, is to go to purgatory until he is purified enough to enter heaven. And he has no idea how long that will take.

That, then, is the Roman Catholic teaching on salvation in a nutshell. And if you are an honest person, you will have to admit that it is a system of salvation by works. In other words, one attempts to earn one’s salvation.

Salvation by works, however, is contrary to what Scripture teaches. As was seen earlier, man is too wicked to earn his salvation by good works. God Himself has to redeem men. Man cannot keep God’s holy law, but Jesus Christ kept it perfectly; and when He died on the cross, He died for the sins of all those the Father had given Him to save.

In contrast to what the Roman Catholic institution says, the Bible, the very Word of God, declares that salvation is by grace through faith. What does this mean?

Jesus said, “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3). When we entered the world, we were born physically; but to be born again means to be born spiritually. In the sight of God, sinful man is dead in sins, and in such a state he cannot enter heaven. A person needs to become a new creature before he or she can live forever with the Lord. The new birth is the work of God alone, who opens the heart (Acts 16:14), and gives the gift of faith (Ephesians 2:8,9), enabling the sinner to believe on Christ.

The Bible declares, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). If the Lord has made you conscious of your sinfulness, then by faith, flee to Christ! “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). Christ died for the sins of His people, and rose again from the dead for their justification (Romans 4:25).

Repent of your sins. Cry out to the Lord to forgive you your sins, and forsake them. The Word of God says, “REPENT, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins” (Acts 2:38). Jesus said, “Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 4:17). In 2 Corinthians 7:10 we read, “For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation”. True sorrow for sins brings about true repentance, which results in salvation.

Repent, and receive Christ by faith as Lord and Saviour. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). “But as many as RECEIVED him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God” (John 1:12,13). “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved” (Acts 16:31). This is the sure Word of the Lord!

Salvation is a gift. It is NOT something we can earn by doing certain things. “For by grace [God’s grace, His undeserved favour] are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves [we cannot earn it]: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast [none will ever be able to boast of having earned salvation by his own works]” (Ephesians 2:8,9). Salvation is a gift of God (Romans 6:23). What is more, if you truly come to the Lord in faith and repentance, you can have the assurance that you are saved! “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life” (1 John 5:13).

The ONLY way to be saved from sin and death – that death which means total separation from God, and eternity in the lake of fire (Revelation 20:15) – is through faith in Jesus Christ, in His shed blood (Romans 3:25).

The way to heaven is not a complicated system. It is a Person. Call upon the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ!

A Roman Catholic who is converted to Christ must (and will) leave the Roman Catholic institution. The reason is clear. This false religion does not teach that a person is saved by grace through faith. It teaches salvation by works. All that Romanism teaches about salvation is contrary to God’s Word. It says that no-one can have the assurance of salvation; the Bible says that those who are truly saved can have this assurance. It divides sin into two classes (mortal and venial); the Bible makes no such distinction. ALL sin brings death (Romans 6:23). It teaches that baptism is essential to salvation; the Bible teaches that baptism is simply a sign to show outwardly what has happened inwardly. A Christian is to be baptized, not in order to be saved, because he already is saved (Acts 2:38-41: repentance comes before baptism).

Roman Catholicism teaches that one must do penance; but the Bible says that one must repent. Penance is some external work, which is not good enough: God requires a change of heart. Roman Catholicism teaches that men must confess to a priest, who forgives them; but the Bible says that only God can forgive sins (Luke 11:4; Matthew 9:6).

The Roman Catholic religion teaches transubstantiation; but the Bible declares that the Lord’s table is something Christians are to partake of simply in remembrance of the Lord (1 Corinthians 11:23-26). The bread and wine do not really become His flesh and blood. They simply represent it. Rome teaches, in effect, that Christ is re-sacrificed in the mass; but the Bible says that Christ does not offer Himself often, but has offered Himself once, and once only, on the cross (Hebrews 9:25-28).

Rome teaches that one must be confirmed; but nowhere is confirmation mentioned in the Bible. It is a human invention. Likewise, there is no scriptural foundation for what is called “extreme unction.”

As for the doctrines concerning Mary: 1 Timothy 2:5, as was seen, makes it clear that Jesus is the ONLY Mediator between God and men. Mary herself admitted that she was a sinner, by calling God her Saviour (Luke 1:47). So she could not have been conceived without original sin. Nor are we to pray to her, for she was only a mere mortal, and men are to pray to God alone (Luke 11:2, etc.).

Tradition is equal in authority with the Bible, according to the Roman Catholic religion. But how can human traditions be as authoritative as the Word of Almighty God? God’s Word is the final authority (2 Timothy 3:15-17; Isaiah 8:20, etc.).

As for purgatory: nowhere in the Bible is this mentioned. Heaven, yes; hell, yes; but not purgatory (John 14:2; Revelation 21:8; etc.). The saved shall go to heaven, the unsaved to hell. This is God’s revelation. Purgatory is a human invention.

Receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, by faith! Repent with all your heart of your sins! And leave the Roman Catholic institution! It is not a Christian church, but an impostor, described in Revelation 17 and 18, and called the Great Whore. “Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13).

Many, many centuries ago, it is recorded, a man named Job asked this question: “If a man die, shall he live again?” It has been asked by men throughout the ages. Is death the end of our existence?

Hindus answer that it is not; for they believe in reincarnation: that a soul goes through a cycle of birth and rebirth. And according to what is called the “law of karma,” it is believed that one’s present circumstances in life are the result of the good or evil done in one’s past lives. Reincarnation and karma thus go together in Hindu teaching.

But is all this true? And how may we know?

It is in the book called the Bible that there is the record of the man, Job, who asked that question long ago: “If a man die, shall he live again?” (Job 14:14). Throughout the ages, men have desired, and sought for, the answer to this! But Job knew the answer to his own question. He immediately went on to say, “all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come”; but the change that he was referring to was not that he would be reincarnated! For he did not believe in this. He said, “I know that my Redeemer liveth” (Job 19:25). His faith was in a living Redeemer! And because this was so, he was able to say also, with great assurance, “in my flesh shall I see God” (Job 19:26) – that is to say, in the very same body he had right then – not in another body! Job believed in the resurrection of his body to newness of life, not in being reincarnated into another physical body altogether. And when he spoke of waiting till his “change” came, he meant that he would wait for the time of his death, when he knew he would exchange his life on earth for one in heaven for eternity.

And the Redeemer whom he firmly believed in was Jesus Christ, whom the Bible declares to be the Son of God, and who said, “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die” (John 11:25,26); and by these wonderful words He meant that the one who believes in Him shall never die spiritually or eternally; and even though his body dies physically for a time, he shall be raised from the dead in the selfsame body, and shall live in heaven with Christ for ever.

Jesus also said, “the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear His [Jesus’] voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation” (John 5:28,29).

Thus, on the one hand, there is the teaching of Hinduism concerning reincarnation; and on the other hand, the teaching of the Bible concerning resurrection.

But which one is the truth? And how may we know?

It is only reasonable to ask: where is the evidence that reincarnation is true? And an honest enquirer will have to admit that there is simply no evidence whatsoever. It is something which is believed – but the Hindu must ask: why exactly do I believe in it? The plain fact is that there is no evidence for it at all.

Now at this point the Hindu has every right to ask, “But where is the evidence that what the Bible says about the resurrection is true?”

There is proof: most certainly there is! And if space permitted, we could examine this abundant evidence: e.g. the fact that the Bible, written over many centuries, by many different men, contains no contradictions or errors whatsoever; the fact that it is full of astounding prophecies which have been fulfilled down to the smallest detail; etc. This is just a small portion of the evidence that the Bible is the Word of God, and therefore, when it tells us about the resurrection, it tells us the truth. But here we will examine, as solid evidence for the resurrection, the resurrection of Jesus Christ Himself from the dead!

After Jesus died, He was not reincarnated – He was resurrected! The very same body He had when He died, was raised to life again!

The resurrection of Christ is an historical fact, proved by ample evidence. The apostles were men who were eyewitnesses of Christ after His resurrection (Acts 1:22). One of them, Peter, said, “This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses” (Acts 2:32; also Acts 3:15). And a disciple named Luke wrote that to the apostles Christ showed Himself alive after He had died “by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days” (Acts 1:3); and then He ascended back to heaven (Acts 1:9-11; Luke 24:50,51).

But did these men really witness Christ’s resurrection? They certainly did! They suffered much persecution, because they preached that Christ had died and risen again (1 Corinthians 4:9-13). It stands to reason that they were either good men, or bad men. If they were good men, they would not have lied about Christ’s resurrection! And if they were bad men and had lied, would they have willingly suffered so much for the sake of a tale they themselves invented? Certainly not! Despite their sufferings and even martyrdoms, they continued to preach the resurrection of Christ – for they knew it was true! They were good and godly men, called by God to bear witness to the truth of Christ’s resurrection. And the many mighty miracles which they performed in the Name of the risen Christ confirmed that what they were saying about Him was the truth! – or God would never have authenticated their message in such a wonderful way (Mark 16:17-20; Hebrews 2:3,4).

And furthermore, there were hundreds of other witnesses of the resurrected Christ! Paul the apostle wrote of Christ, “And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures: and that He was seen of Cephas [Peter], then of the twelve [apostles]: after that, He was seen of above five hundred brethren at once…. After that, He was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all He was seen of me also” (1 Corinthians 15:4-8). Over five hundred people saw Jesus after His resurrection! In a court of law, a case would be considered amply proved, beyond all shadow of doubt, if there were five hundred witnesses!

Yes, Jesus rose from the dead, and in the same body which He had when He died. When He appeared to His disciples after His resurrection, He said, “Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have” (Luke 24:39). He was resurrected – not reincarnated!

Therefore, to return to the question, “Where is the proof, the evidence, that what the Bible says about the resurrection of the dead is true?” The evidence is in the amply-attested fact that God the Father raised Jesus Christ His Son from the dead! And so we can be certain that when Christ taught that all men will be resurrected, either to eternal life or eternal damnation (e.g. in John 5:28,29), He was telling the truth! The Bible says most solemnly, “it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27). There is no reincarnation after death, but there is divine judgment! At death, the body returns to dust until the resurrection, but the soul goes either to heaven or to hell, for all eternity.

Who is Jesus? The Bible reveals that there is only one true and living God (Deuteronomy 6:4), who eternally exists in three divine Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; 1 John 5:7). Jesus Christ is God the Son. Being God, He existed from all eternity; but He came into the world as a man to redeem (i.e. to purchase the spiritual freedom of) His chosen people from all nations; He was miraculously conceived in the womb of a virgin; and thus was God manifest in the flesh (Galatians 4:4,5; Luke 1:26-35; 1 Timothy 3:16). And His purpose in coming into the world was to save sinners (1 Timothy 1:15), by living a life of perfect sinlessness and obedience to God the Father, and dying on a cross in the place of sinful men and women, suffering the penalty that they should have suffered for their sins, as their great and perfect Substitute, their sins being laid upon Him by God the Father (2 Corinthians 5:18-21; Isaiah 53:4-7; 1 Peter 3:18). Then He rose from the dead, conquering death for all those He came to save, and ascended back to heaven, from where He will come again to gather His redeemed people to Himself, taking them to be with Him in heaven for ever (Romans 6:9,10; 1 Corinthians 15:20-26,51-57; John 14:1-6).

Returning, then, to Job’s all-important question: “If a man die, shall he live again?” If saved from his sins by faith in Christ, he will live forever in heaven with the Lord; but if not saved from his sins, he will spend eternity suffering the torments of hell.

What is sin? Sin is the transgression of the holy law of God (1 John 3:4). And all men and women on earth have transgressed it! All are guilty, and deserve damnation because of their sins. Sin proceeds from within the heart of man. Sin is every wicked thought, word, or deed; every act of rebellion against God (Mark 7:20-22; Romans 1:28-32; 1 Corinthians 6:9,10; Galatians 5:19-21). Sin also includes the worship of idols of all kinds (Romans 1:21-23). And Hinduism is full of idolatry!

It is absolutely essential, then, to know the answer to another all-important question: “How may I be saved from my sins?”

Hinduism teaches a form of salvation by one’s own works, or efforts. The belief that present actions affect future happiness or sorrow, is what motivates the Hindu to do various good deeds. Thus the motive for doing good deeds is not, first and foremost, for the benefit of others, but for one’s own benefit! This is the notion of salvation by one’s own works; and it is an impossibility!

The Bible says, “But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us” (Titus 3:4,5). And, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8,9). Grace is God’s undeserved favour. Faith is the gift of God, and those to whom it is given believe in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation; and thus, by God’s grace, they are saved from their sins through faith in Christ. Salvation, we are emphatically told, is not of works!

The answer, then, to the all-important question, “How may I be saved?” is faith in Jesus Christ alone. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved” (Acts 16:31)! Believe, with all your heart, in He who is the Son of the living God; the only Saviour of sinners; the Way, the Truth, and the Life. When He hung on the cross, the sins of all His chosen people were laid upon Him; and He died for them. He suffered the penalty that they should have suffered for their own sins – He suffered in their place! Of Christ it is written in God’s Word, “He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all” (Isaiah 53:5,6). “For He [God the Father] hath made Him [God the Son, Jesus Christ] to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21).

The Lord Jesus died in the place of sinners. And whosoever truly believes in Him will not perish eternally, but have everlasting life (John 3:15,16).

The one who is brought to see his own sinfulness in the sight of God who is holy, must repent of his sins, and believe in Christ! To repent is to turn from sin; to forsake it. If you have been pricked in your heart, and are crying out, “What shall I do?” the answer is, “Repent” (Acts 2:37,38), and “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ” (Acts 16:31)! “For there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved”, than the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12).

And good works? Salvation is not by works; but the Bible says that true believers are “created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10). This means that although no man is saved by his works, but only by God’s grace through faith in Christ, yet once he is truly saved, he will demonstrate this fact by the good works that he does. Good works are the evidence of salvation, not the cause of salvation.

Dear Hindu reader: do not be deceived! “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” (Proverbs 14:12). Hinduism is, truly, “a way which seemeth right’; but it is not. It is deceptive, and leads to hell, as all false religion does. Jesus said, “Wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat” (Matthew 7:13). Hinduism is just such a broad way to eternal destruction. Jesus also said, “strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it” (v.14). This “narrow way to life” is Christ Himself, who is “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). Enter into eternal life by turning from your sins and from false religion, and by believing in the only One who can save your soul – the Son of God Himself, Jesus Christ the Lord and Saviour!

The Gospel at the PADSA Easter Soccer Tournament

Preaching the Good News at the Northdale Stadium The PADSA (Pietermaritzburg And Districts Soccer Association) Easter Soccer Tournament took place from Friday 25th through Monday 28th March 2016 at the Northdale Stadium. Aziz, Jono and Gary attended on the 25th, 26th and 28th March to engage soccer players, spectators, response support staff, and many others in attendance with the Blessed Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

From beer drinking loiterers outside the grounds, to scripture twisting car-guards, to young children eager for tracts and a chat, to teenaged youth open for conversation, much Christian literature was distributed with the clear message of Jesus Christ and Him crucified, declaring “. . .  For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:” (see 1 Corinthians 5:7).

It is also truly amazing how many “Christians” we regularly bump into at these type of events who move around incognito! It is really sad to say the least.

37  Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
38  Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

Are you ready to stand before GOD on Judgment Day?” Whilst his team mates carried on, he came to chat and said he needs to recommit himself to GOD! After sharing the Gospel with him and conviction coming upon him that his life is not pleasing to GOD, that soccer is an idol in his life and other things too, he said he needs to repent. We then prayed with him afterwards and encouraged him in his commitment to being a living sacrifice for GOD! We pray for Samuel’s salvation.

They had no problem that we distribute our literature and speak to people, but they were concerned for Aziz’s safety if the crowd became hostile towards him using the bullhorn and, as theyYoung children wanting the Ten Grand tract said, could throw bottles at him. They also mentioned that there were other religions present. Gary had warned Aziz before hand that PADSA had jurisdiction as we were in an area they had paid for and therefore we would have to have a sound permit. In circumstances like this we should exercise a measure of caution where we are to heed the words of our Master, “Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.” (Matthew 10:16). In stead of being run off out of the stadium, we still were able to distribute much Gospel literature after the bullhorn incident and were also able to have many more conversations.

Mission Act 1:8 ~ Day 47

NAPIERVILLE / SIGNAL HILL

Tuesday May 26, 2015, Marius and Gary headed out to saturate the last road in Napierville and then Signal Hill with the Word of Truth. We had arrived on Roy Campbell Road, behind Piet Retief Primary School, and then realised when Marius asked whether I had fetched my grandson’s homework from school, as he is booked-off with the chicken pox, that we had about ten minutes to do so, so I thought! Well, after driving across town and fetching the homework, we returned to the same spot and by God’s providence we arrived back at the school’s lunch break! After asking a few children who were ‘hanging-out’ near the fence if they knew the Lord Jesus Christ – uJesu Kristus – this is what followed as they were calling out for tracts and hands were protruding through the fence . . .

A senior minder then approached as the bell had sounded for the end of the lunch break. We handed her a “What if?” card and then we proceeded door-to-door tracting!

After completing the Napierville suburb we proceeded up to Signal Hill to walk the suburb and sow the seed of God’s Word. Whilst there while tracting as many post-boxes in a huge complex, we shared briefly with yet another ancestor praying African man who was on site doing some repair work to a turnstile. His fresh animal hide bangles was a “dead” give-away! Graciously we shared Deuteronomy 18 once again warning about necromancy and consulting with familiar spirits which is an abomination in the sight of our Holy God – The Creator! He tried to use the “quick-fix” answer that whilst you are staying with your father you must obey his rules! Our response was: “If your dad tells you to jump into the fire will you jump?” He then countered and said: “Then your father will not be a loving man.” “Well, if your dad tells you to do something contrary to God’s Word, you will end up in the fire! God warns you to do that which is right!” He said he will read the Gospel tract he has received from us.

We ask that prayers be offered for all the persons we encounter along the way, as they are spiritually blinded by the devil. This is all idolatry and generational curses that are prevailing, as we read in the Second Commandment:

4  Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
5  Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6  And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. ~ Exodus 20:4-6
