Evangelism and Football News

15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
~ Mark 16:15,16

Baroka This praise report is solely for GOD’s glory alone and that no attention be directed our-way! “He must increase, but I must decrease” (John 3:30). The PSL football match between Maritzburg United and Baroka F.C. that took place at the Harry Gwala Stadium on the evening of Friday 14th April 2017 had its kick-off time brought forward from 20:00 to 17:00 as the fixture was on the ‘Good Friday’ holiday. Besides not knowing of the change in kick-off time Jono and Gary cancelled the outreach due to the heavy thundershowers the entire afternoon.

As usual, we do request that you kindly keep us in prayer for our next PSL football outreach, Lord willing, at the Harry Gwala Stadium’s North Gate, being on Friday evening the 28th April, 2017 from about 18:00 – 20:00

PMB Pirates Football Club News

On another note, Gary is an assistant coach at PMB Pirates FC in the amateur Under 10/11 age group. As part of his evangelism ministry he has prayed for GOD to open a door for the Gospel of Jesus Christ to go through and be made known to players, parents, coaches and club staff. We endeavour to train the children holistically with the objective of having healthy minds, bodies and souls, and by keeping them off the streets in their communities, keeping the children active in football as they apply their GOD-given talents and skills. May our LORD use His servants on match days to reach many who are of other faiths and religions, where many of our football opponents are Roman Catholics, Muslims and Hindus.

On Saturday 8th April, 2017, Pirates FC hosted a 5-a-side tournament in Woodlands in celebration of their 120th anniversary (1897-2017). A full day of football was ended off with a prize-giving and some Gospel tract distribution.
