Evangelism at the United vs Pirates Match, 2016/17

9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. ~ Philippians 2:9-11

This praise report is solely for GOD’s glory alone and that no attention be directed our-way! “He must increase, but I must decrease” (John 3:30). On Tuesday 13th December 2016, Jono and Gary attended at the PSL football match between Maritzburg United and Orlando Pirates that took place at the Harry Gwala Stadium. We arrived after 17H30.

However, he has been doing Gospel tract distribution in Bethlehem and has had some wonderful conversations with African car-guards and shopping-mall staff. Tract distribution at the Dihlabeng Mall entrance Tried to proclaim the Gospel of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ to an African man, who could have been a Rastafarian, helping a Hindu woman sell Hinduism idolatrise books and literature in the Dihlabeng Mall. The acoustics were good, but they were not interested, she calling him away from Gary. However, others heard too. For, it is written,

6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. ~ John 14:6

28  Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
29  Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily. ~ Colossians 1;28,29

With regards to our further football evangelism, the South African Premier Soccer League is taking a mid-summer’s break that includes the month of January 2017 which is when the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations tournament takes place in Gabon from 14th January to 5th February 2017. Therefore, kindly keep us in prayer for our next PSL football outreach, Lord willing, at the Harry Gwala Stadium’s South Gate, being on Saturday evening 11th February, 2017 from 17:00 – 20:15
